NZTD Form Helper can keep a declaration draft in this browser. If a database is configured, the passport number, the first address in New Zealand, and declaration answers are stored as ciphertext. No email is sent. The notes below describe the rules we intend to follow. A lawyer has not reviewed them.

What this version collects
The contact form does not send or store what you type. Trip details and names from an apply draft stay in this browser. A refresh clears the passport number, the first address in New Zealand, and declaration answers; those are not written into browser storage. That is not an account, and this step does not send email. Language is kept in the address of the page, not in a tracking cookie. We do not run advertising or analytics cookies.
If you order later
An order would ask for contact details, trip details, and the answers you give. We would tell you what is required before you type it. We would not use declaration answers for marketing.
Sensitive details
Passport numbers, the first address in New Zealand, and declaration answers are sensitive. The intended rule is to encrypt them, limit who can see them, and delete the answers, passport number, address, and answer-sheet file after the order is finished or at the latest seven days after departure. A minimum record for an invoice may remain. A configured database stores those three fields only as ciphertext. The deletion job is not running.
Laws we expect to follow
The New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, and, where they apply to a traveller, the GDPR and China's PIPL. A lawyer has not confirmed this draft against those laws.
Cross-border storage
Where the data would be stored has not been decided. Before an order is possible, we will say which country holds it.
Asking for deletion
The support address on this page is a placeholder and is not monitored. A working deletion request path will be published with the real address. Do not send passport details to the placeholder address.
